Ode to Joy
A Flashmob by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Nuremberg and the Hans-Sachs-Choir in front of the St. Lorenz Church in Nuremberg, Germany.
I haven’t posted a video before but I came across this one by accident.
It is part of the 4th Movement of Beethoven’s 9th and starts very quietly and builds to an inspiring crescendo.
Remembering that the Master never physically heard a note my advice is to wind up the volume, press play and for 6 minutes enjoy one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written.
At a formative age I sang this with the school choir & orchestra in Cowles Stadium for what was probably the forerunner to the ChCh Schools Music Fest that still runs. Loved it & was my first experience of participating in such a thing. It's a ChCh treasure.
One of the things life has to offer that brings tears to my eyes due to its beauty. Of such things mankind is capable.
