Quite agree. We are fed up with “Trust me, I’m the single source of truth”. If one is going to make vague claims about disinformation it amounts to the same thing as vague claims of ‘conspiracy theory’ or ‘racism’ or ‘misogyny’ or whatever current name-calling is used to dismiss another’s point of view. Give us the reasons and the specific details of what and why something is disinformation and we might pay attention. Otherwise we just ignore such claims.
One really should be asking, why these 'Western' people are so obsessed with suppressing any genuine Russian perspectives on the situation? And what strategic objectives are driving these efforts?
Russia should have a free opportunity to express its own point of view. Why not? Do we really think that it could be beneficial to destroy Russia altogether? What lunacy....
And in the whole context, it would be more helpful for us to understand exactly why Russia believes that it is fighting for its very existence in the so-called Ukraine......
But it seems rather that the root of the problem for us in NZ today is the failure of our education to teach us how to think, not what to think.... Abandoning any politically motivated projects for teaching history would be a good starting point in correcting this.....

The implication here is only the "bad guys" run misinformation campaigns. That seems misinformed in its own right
