Thank you for clearly pointing out in this interview that this Bill would esssentially be another step towards the marxist/communist ideal of a nanny state where the government embodies the 'Ministry of Truth' who decides which information can be 'digested' by the plebs. We lived through the implemenation of this approach during Mrs. Arden's 'kind dictatorship'.
It is not primarily the government's responsibility to bring up our children. The State is the last resort for exceptional cases.
You did well considering the horrible format and approach to interviewing by Dann in this instance. How can any listener learn anything much from these extremely short form, rushed interviews? I don't listen to RNZ at all now, but happy to have my attention drawn to these couple of interviews. Catherine Wedd didn't have much of an argument, just another politician dodging the real issue.
