Another one bites the dust.... The green's selection process, and the senior greens involved in candidate selection (lower case intentional) have really stuffed up -again. What a farcical pack of clowns they are. Yet they still attract a decent percentage of voters. Seems like green voters must be pretty good at holding their noses while they swallow dead rats...
The "consulting lawyers" comment is interesting. It seems a tacit admission that this is an important story, not merely one dreamed up by "keyboard warriors". Let's see if they really do follow it up.
My cogitations on that imputation, similarly simmered and brought to the surface ripples of risibility and that there be... possible grounds for examining the Doyle debacle even more forensically.
The ever-slippery Swarbrickism that words mean different things at different times and places leaves me quite confused. Bussy?! I first thought it was a spell-check aberration of Busy. Hipkins would be insane to get into bed ( oops !! You know what I mean) with this lot.
Swarbrick's use (or misuse) of language epitomizes the theories about language and the plastic nature of objective reality that underpins post-modernism and critical thinking. There have been tomes written on this but the concept is best summed up by Humpty Dumpty in Lewis Carroll's "Throught the Looking Glass"
“When I use a word,’ Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, ‘it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.’
’The question is,’ said Alice, ‘whether you can make words mean so many different things.’
’The question is,’ said Humpty Dumpty, ‘which is to be master — that’s all.”
Beats me why folk vote for the current Greens iteration...I do know that historically the odd friend voted Greens because of , well, 'greenness'. Notions of trees & the environment were enough. The odd one woke up during covid. I had thought Swarbrick might've matured by now. The rest are a 'barmy army' I've given up on since Turei & her Entitlement blew her cred to smithereens. Yet they still poll well enough to get into Parl...
I just love the irony of the Greens being rabidly anti-nuclear while circling their wagons as close to lethally radioactive Doyle as the wheels allow. Personally speaking, wheels I hope to see come of their wagons at the next election.
What I find incredibly disappointing is that most commentators make this about the media rather than this being a child protection issue. Where are those speaking up for the child? Almost totally absent on either side.
The current Board and the Chair are on a nice little earner. This very public approach and detailed critique would be most unwelcome. I am sure that there will be a considerable amount of maneuvering going on between now and the AGM. But this is what happens when a media organization loses credibility.
Wait, let’s not - she and her MSM pose are much better at the pile on that we are so we’ll be the wiser ones and let sleeping (and with the impending NZME takeover soon to be dead) dogs lie 😎

I saw a comment the other day.. "Gangrene... rotting itself out from the inside." Couldn't help but get the giggles.

Pretty much sums it up

Yes, it's absolutely mindblowing to hear Chloe defending/supporting a colleague who's an obvious pervert. How the heck did he become a list candidate?
I was appalled by Ms Young’s piece. I don’t think I need to explain why!

I framed my commentary specifically to address the way the media treated this issue.
Yes, you did.
The NZME board meeting cannot come soon enough for me!
Delaying the shareholder meeting may be legal but it's shifting the goalposts - or maybe an underarm bowl is a better analogy.

Great! Let’s pile on to Ms Young shall we?
